We use a default Debian server, running on cheap hardware, with default logging.

I am not interested in your personal info and won’t disclose or sell any of it.

This server is paid for in crypto without any link to the owner’s identity.

Rules

Any illegal content is strictly FORBIDDEN. This includes, but might not be limited to:

  • Hateful discrimination based on sex, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, age…
  • Pedocriminal content, as well as soft-pedo content like loli
    • Encouraging such behavior is also forbidden. Discussions are welcome though, but if you feel like you like kids a little too much, you should get professional help, and we’re not the best place to get this.
  • Doxxing (revealing someone personal info without their consent, if that isn’t public knowledge)
  • Harassment, bullying.
    • Criticizing an individual or public figure with facts is authorized.
    • We are pretty laxist, and will give warnings if we deem it necessary.
  • Any copyrighted content. DMCA applies here, and it will be severly enforced.
    • Links should be fine but they’ll get deleted if we get too much heat. There are better instances for that. Don’t get the server shut down, please.
  • Any other illegal stuff in the USA, the country where this server is hosted.
    • Doesn’t include the dumb stuff like potential freedom of speech restriction on subjects that don’t harm anyone. We all know the USA likes to censor some stuff.

In addition, the following rules apply:

  • Try to be nice with people. Avoid insulting them. If you go too far, you’ll be warned and we might take action.
  • Discussing religion and politics is accepted, whatever your view is. However, hijacking conversations for religious or political propaganda or publicity is strictly forbidden. Don’t be a nuisance to others.
  • NSFW content is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN (sorry). No explicit images (sexual, gore…). Discussions are fine, if not promoting websites or services.
  • Trolling (such as obvious ragebait or provocation), spamming, flooding, and posting really low quality content is forbidden, especially when interacting on other instances.
  • Evading bans is forbidden. Please respect your community and instance bans.
    • We won’t be actively chasing ban evaders, unless their presence is more harmful than good to the fediverse.

Other informations

  • We will avoid defederating with other instances, and try to avoid being defederated.
    • Please allow us a few days to reach back if you have concerns and think about defederating with us. Contacting us by email is the best way of notifying us in case we don’t often check.
    • We will only defederate from instances which do not respect our rules, mainly:
      • Instances that cause a lot of spam, mass brigading/harassment
      • Instances that mainly contain NSFW, copyrighted, pedocriminal content…
  • Unless we really need to defederate urgently, a public announcement will be made prior to any defederation, and users (from here or elsewhere) are free to oppose and comment, and we’ll try to listen to the majority, while being true to our freedom of speech values, and that censoring should be really rare.
