to be fair, with the taylor swift eras tour what happened was that taylor swift sold the tickets very cheaply but scalpers scalped it to hell and beyond, resulting in taylor swift losing out on a lot of money and scalpers having massive wins.
I wonder why artists even bother at this point. Doesn’t LiveNation offer some way they can sell tickets at their actual value without people knowing? (It itself is kind of a monopoly, but that’s another issue)
