If thats the case, every car needs a high visibility paint job. Its only fair.

If you develop a society and infrastructure to the point where you are asking every pedestrian to wear a hi-vis jacket … the pedestrians are not the problem … your infrastructure, vehicles and mentality are the problem.
hint: if everything is high-visibility, nothing is, because then nothing will stand out from all the yellow and orange
In my country I’ve already seen groups of toddlers apparently doing a field trip from daycare wearing high-visibility jackets. In the middle of a suburb hours after sunrise, boarding a tram. Completely unnecessary IMHO, I don’t think I ever did that when I was that age.
All pedestrians should walk around wearing C-4 vests that will explode if they get hit.
