I was determined to draw some fish for the “#fishfriday” thing I saw on Bluesky, came up with some bettas in pencil during the week! Don’t know how to photograph it so that it looks better yet haha, my tablet is taking a break. Also have a limited amount of pencils for now…

      Thank you! I was really proud of the scales too 😃 Then my white gel pen died… And also I’m pretty sure one of the bettas has scales facing the wrong way, but shh 🤫

    Very clean coloring work! Your style translates well into traditional media. How are you liking the change of tools? I’m working on the opposite, trying to up my digital painting skills.

      Thank you! I think that enjoying a lot of different ways of making art is a bit of a problem for me haha I really like trying new stuff, but not enough money and space for aaaall of them 🫠 I liked drawing with pencils because I feel less incentivized for it to be absolutely perfect, if it makes sense. When I make digital art, I can move everything around and erase freely, with pencils it’s not as easy haha, even if the colour isn’t 100% what I wanted, I work with it! Lots of layers! And I am trying to be nicer to my art and share it with people now 😃 So yes, the change of tools feels really nice haha, I think my hand still prefers digital though 🥲
