We all can pick out a nazi immediately, and we all immediately either aggressively make them leave, or we leave and never come back.
You don’t do that. Because you’re tolerant of nazis. Not only that, you are willing to hang out with them. Not only that… you’re willing to try to put down others because they don’t want to be around nazis, and call out nazis when they see them.

Europe does not care about american politics as much as americans like to think we do. Not everyone associates trump with nazi instantly. I do not want to attribute to being a nazi something that can be explained by willingness to make an extremely crass joke.
He is rounding up people of a particular color using a paramilitary masked police force and without a trial sending them to a prison in another country that, for years, has been reported on as torturing and killing its prisoners

My comment was meant to be informative to that end. I read (or maybe misread) your comment as implying that Americans are overreacting by calling him a Nazi, while I think it an apt comparison and that they are literally and intentionally using the Nazi playbook every step of the way.

I have seen this before. Complete with USA-built truck. I cannot fathom how people in Europe do this. Sure, we* happily lap up every bit of American culture we can get our hands on, but this makes me question that person’s sanity.
Even in America someone like this makes us question their sanity.

I hate to break it to you but most people outside of America do not differentiate that much between what state you come from.
I agree with that, but “I’m from California” does have a different ring to it than “I’m from America”
it also just makes more sense in general, no one would say “hi i’m from the EU”, so why on earth do people say “hi i’m from the US” or “hi i’m from canada”?
People do say “hi I’m from the US” and “hi I’m from canada”. They are both countries and people can tie their identity to it. There certainly are people who say “hi I’m from europe”, but not many. Europe also isn’t a country and doesn’t have the level of autonomy that the US and Canada (or Germany for that matter) have.
Just say you are from New Hampshire with a cockney accent.
I wished that worked for being a New Jerseyan, but people mostly just make mob and guido jokes.
We do love our deli meat though, so that one’s largely accurate.
