I have an EV and burn zero fossil fuels. I also think putting bike lanes on a major artery that wasn’t designed for them is a terrible idea. I’m all for bike lanes on side streets, but not on arteries, sorry.

It is impossible to get around most of Toronto without bike lanes on arterials. The whole “no bike lanes on arterials” is a myth that Ford has been repeating constantly. Bike lanes do not cause traffic.

PhDs have literally run machine learning analysis on Toronto’s streets and found Bloor bike lanes to be necessary in every scenario. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2024/10/241015183513.htm

The major artery in question wasn’t originally designed for cars, either. The Internet wasn’t designed for commercial and residential users. This is argumentation by head-in-the-sand. We can redesign the street.
