This is a wise choice and I respect that you know yourself well enough to know this.
If it helps, I’ve heard many ADHD people report that nicotine is minimally helpful compared to actual ADHD medication. All medications come with harms and risks, but self-medicating with nicotine is a pretty poor return on the harms “investment”.
