sigh they’re not idiots. they’re doing this deliberately, with full understanding. they vastly prefer losing to having to do something for the people.
after all, even if the democrats lose, as long as they can keep pushing the overton window right, capital wins, and therefore the democrats win.
Dems in congress would rather continue losing than pay higher taxes on their book deals/speeches/insider trading fortunes. The DNC happily accommodates that wish.
