It’s not about blocking porn.
It’s always about control. Conservatives want to control how you consume sexual content.

Because the rules for conservative and liberals are very different.
Democrats, by in large, respect the rule of law and their base will reject candidates that don’t. Conservatives simply want to be the ones giving orders and not necessarily following them. So the Venn diagram of mutual interests only intersects when a democrat does something that both sides disagree with.
Republicans cry foul whenever a Democrat exceeds the debt ceiling but you don’t hear a fucking peep from them when Trump causes the national debt to lower our credit rating.
We need to purge ourselves from conservatives. And the window to do so is closing quickly.
I’ve been thinking about something my college physics professor said. “The universe gravitates towards chaos and destruction. That’s why it takes orders of magnitude longer to create something useful than it is to destroy that same thing. It’s the story of all life everywhere.”
Project 2025 is dangerous not for the immediate effects but its long term effects. It will take years if not decades to restore faith in our vaccine board. Years to restore our faith in any sort of government action. Decades to restore our relationships with our allies.
Bearing in mind that we vote for our representatives every two years and we keep voting for people like Trump.
We are at a cross roads. We will either purge our country of the alt right or we will become the next authoritarian country.
The window to choose which direction is closing fast.
Visual voicemail (voicemail transcribed to text) has been a godsend for me. The number of doctors offices that call with an unlisted number is staggering.
It’s an evolution from when people used to take newspapers or magazines to read while pooping.
Because he is good at popping pop corn right? Because it was a meritorious hire. Right?
Right?
They could consent prior to death. They could even bequeath them to the tooth fairy.
In fact …I’m redoing my will right now…I’m gonna add it.
Additionally, cities that want physically fit officers have unions that demand that they are paid to work out. Cities don’t want to pay for that.
So, usually the fitness requirements are only used when applying but aren’t used when you are in the force.
Exactly!
There’s only one party that cares about hypocrisy. And it’s not the fucking Republicans.
Think of a passkey as a specific “device” getting access to a service.
Device is in quotes here since it’s really tied to the browser and your session on that browser so if you use multiple accounts or you use incognito mode, you will create a new passkey with each session.
You set up a passkey on each “device” you are using Google and then manage those keys through Google’s account security web site, deleting keys as needed.
I’m personally not a fan of passkeys as a replacement for passwords. They provide a second factor but should not be relied upon as the only factor for authentication.
But passkeys are NOT MFA. They essentially replace “what you know” with “what you have”. Adding a second passkey like a yubikey only furthers the single factor. Also courts have ruled that you can be compelled to provide biometric data to unlock your accounts.
I suspect Google is moving to replace passwords not out of the kindness of their hearts but to allow the government to get into your account.
My preferred MFA combination is yubikey (or similar physical key) + Password/PIN.
“drug and violence” are dog whistles for “black and Hispanic”.
Statistically, drug use is about the same regardless of race but non-whites are prosecuted far more often than their white counterparts.
From the looks of it the characters have thrusters to allow them to move in zero G.
Not exactly jetpack but pretty damn close
TIL that Cas Anvar got fired. Damn…
Of the principle characters, I felt like he was one of the stronger actors, with Amos (Wes Chatham) being the strongest.
I recently did a rewatch of The Expanse and as much as I enjoy it generally, I felt like the last season was meh.
The grit was gone and felt like the show rushed near the end.
Maybe it’s just me though.
I hate how free two day “super saver shipping” went from $25 worth of stuff to $35 to “maybe a week? Lol we’ll deliver it whenever we want”.
I have spent maybe $2k total there now in the last year? Mostly things I can’t buy locally or elsewhere.
¿Por que los dos?
