As an Israeli* it’s definitely going to turn out better for us than if USA hadn’t joined in. As for the rest of the world, and specifically USA… I fucking hate where everything is headed, but I think USA can easily win this.
* An Israeli who, much like many Americans, is stuck with a government of criminally insane psychopaths he voted against and protested against. I in no way support the actions of the current government.
That character was so shamelessly engineered to appeal to the average male gamer that I’m genuinely angry it worked.
It’s a good analogy (from my limited understanding, that really was how it was presented in Japan at the time… At least for a short while) but I dang hope it’s not an accurate one. The blunder of Pearl Harbor was eloquently put by this famous quote:
I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.
So the key question now is whether Iran was a sleeping giant with more resources to pull from, or if it’s really defeated now (or soon to be). I personally believe Iran can’t win a war against USA, but it’s not going down without a fight. I’m no authority on the matter though, I might be dead wrong.
In my family the stereotype absolutely holds true, men (e.g. me and my dad) are messier than women (my mom). We clean less often and have a higher tolerance for filth. I don’t like that about myself but it takes a lot of filth to get me off of my ass and cleaning.
Pretty much lol, well put!
From my understanding, Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons yet. What they destroyed is essentially a factory that creates one of the key ingredients required for making nuclear weapons. It’s not a weapon yet, and it’s not explosive yet. Iran’s still a ways away from making that.
I super highly recommend William Spaniel on YouTube. He hasn’t covered this bombing yet (I’m sure he will within a few hours tomorrow), but a few days ago he did briefly go over the process of making nuclear bombs, you should check it out: https://youtu.be/XA1CQp_oJ90?t=480
Either way it’s an amazing channel for understanding world affairs, I really can’t recommend it enough. Go watch any of his recent videos, they’re short and well worth it.
I might be way off, but… Is that Robert Webb? Where is this Jesus from?
No. I can say this with confidence because I am an expert on war crimes - I have consumed two, maybe even three distinct pieces of media where war crimes have been mentioned. At one point I even glanced at the Wikipedia article on war crimes. You can count on me.
For real though I think throwing a frag grenade into an enemy army’s bunker can’t possibly be a war crime. The deception with the tin cans isn’t relevant.
I realize this isn’t serious but holy shit Prozac might have saved my life. Well, technically Prizma which is the same stuff. I went through so many unsuccessful depression treatments, Prizma is the only one that seems to be sticking. Sometimes the old stuff is just the best.
Worth noting that all treatments were in conjunction with psychotherapy, I don’t think pills alone would have helped. And I also tried going without medication at all for a while, it wasn’t good either. Prizma really is the only thing that works for me.
Edit: apparently the Prizma brand might only be sold in my country, but as I said it’s just a different brand of Prozac.
I also don’t know the meme and that just sounds like a cute nickname
To be fair - even though this asshole doesn’t deserve fairness - that tweet is very obviously giving full credit to Akash (whoever that is) and not to himself. He’s admitting a huge blunder but he’s not taking credit for the fix.
Odd, because a huge part of the problem is that Silicon Valley is running too much of the modern world. Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google et al run their respective ecosystems as a de facto government. An unelected and undemocratic government.
I have no idea what I just read
It’s fairly common in countertop dishwashers, but come to think of it, I don’t know if it exists for full-size ones. The one I have is this: https://www.midea.com/sg/kitchen-appliances/dishwasher/MDWS-2703
I really like that my dishwasher has a window so I can peek inside while it’s working. Besides the coolness factor, it’s also useful to see whether any of the rotors are blocked from spinning or something tipped over.
It’s not a deal breaker if you get one without a window, but it’s really nice to have.
I knew someone would beat me to it.
Is Suvi Korean or are some of her ancestors Korean? There’s a difference.
there’s a pretty wild range there from fairly easy to make in a few hours to massive community effort over several decades
Yeah, maybe. I specifically said “better than if USA hadn’t joined”. I’m not convinced that the US bombing made Iran more likely to use a nuke compared to 2 days ago. Nor any other country, for that matter. But hell, as I keep saying, I might be totally wrong about that.
