I’m like the only person here actually giving feedback. Make it readable and don’t waste people’s time summarising two sentences.
When I looked a couple of hours ago the first link’s summary was an enormous block of text with no formatting and the second was about 40 words summarised to 20.

Blocktube and Enhancer for Youtube are Firefox extensions that can hide all of that shit completely. Mine has all shorts disabled, and I’ve removed the recommended videos panels from the right hand side & ends of videos, plus disabled any non-playlist autoplay. There’s still crap on the Home tab, but I don’t use that so I’ve never needed to look into ways to improve it, I just use the subbed tab and playlists. My YT shows me exactly what I ask for and nothing else. The Blocktube extension settings can be password-locked.
Dude was convicted of 34 felonies and THEN got elected president for a second time after a disastrous first term which ended with him inciting an insurrection to try to stay in power, the richest man in the world (credibly!) said he’s a pedophile and is covering it up, which surprised nobody because we all fuckin know, he said himself that he could shoot someone on the street and not lose any voters. Hell yeah, trains were so much fun to play with. I had a big spreadsheet detailing all of my trains and stations, showing exactly what was going on everywhere. By the end of the game I had a few dozen trains and stations.
I haven’t played this game since I beat it and got all of the achievements back in November, but for the last few days at work I’ve been rolling designs for a big train-based megafactory around in my head. Picture a tower made of factories taking up about half of the desert. I’ve been pacing around trying to describe it succinctly for about 20 minutes but keep giving up and deleting everything I write. I think I’ve worked out a tileable design that will work, it’s just a matter of sketching it all up, deciding what will be made where and getting started. I haven’t even launched the game lately because it’s too daunting.

There’s old.lemmy.world, and I only ever used Reddit through 3rd party apps and the one I used has a Lemmy app now. Close enough.
I grabbed the app from github and jumped in, then looked through all of the posts on the front page with comments. Crypto, Musk bootlickers, one post has the n word in the title. So what exactly is this? Is it just going to be Voat again?
My interest is not in the Reddit interface so that’s not a selling point, and frankly the first impression of the users is bad. Is there a sub/community/whatever you can point me to that’s worth participating in yet or should I give it a few months and see how it progresses?

All the summary has done is remove the quote. That part IS the news that’s being reported on, it matters just as much as the context.

Someone who only sees this summary will have no idea what it’s about or how to look into it further, which means they’re going to have to read the (one sentence) article anyway.
