To prove your point no original nazi is needed, there was that nazi rally recordings of which are avaliable.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1939_Nazi_rally_at_Madison_Square_Garden

When USA government took a wind of their future involvement in this war, they found that adoring fans of Hitler aren’t what you’d like to gain popularity at home while sending boys to Europe to catch the fucker. I don’t know the morals of politicians who took steps to tone down the Hitler-fandom, but the first layer of this onion is that - it was against the geological goals of the US - to enable that strain of nazism - at the time. Were they allowing the same populist mythology about the US to prevail, did american soldiers thought themselves superior to others, with their democracy, founding fathers, ammendments? Probably. But the original sin was erased in a public memory as the Axis-ov-Evil felt, the Cold War started and the US, especially, saw a boom in it’s prosperity.

But to counter your pov, I’d argue, there aren’t particular ‘people like that’, but social conditions of frustrated masses gullible enough to follow populists adressing their emotions, establishing their past as great and promising the return to that. These notions are just copycats of one another. The healthier the society the less we see the monsters constructed and enabled by it’s failures. There was some quote of Stephen (I created but abandoned my bluesky) King that in order to kill you’d need to have a bullet in your heart, and I believe that most deranged shooters who went on a probably suicidal killing spree against their own kind didn’t have that bullet initially, but they’ve been conditioned by the times like late Wheimar Republic, late Soviet state, and, probably, late America, if it won’t get of these rails.

  • In the context of Lemmy shitpost none is required.

In the context of the episode the guy in red constantly switched back and forth between being on it with the rebels and giving up them and himself once confronted. Him being so unsure of himself and undecided were sad to see.

To top that feeling and make it a shitpost, I highlighted two sets of boobs that were shown in the same episode in accord and as a satire to what TV back then seen as possible: vulgarly displayed manboobs and sexualized but still covered womanboobs.

And then I highlighted Stanley who had no gender dysphoria, right, but who at this point in his character’s life didn’t even start to process where he trully belongs: in the conformity he was put in and genuinely hates and fails at, or the risky promise of feeling worthy and somehow autonomous even if it’d take his life a second later. He’s mostly driven by sudden impulses and learnt fears in this episode, but occasionally do something right and cheers himself at that.

Lexx (this series\anthology) is not serious at all. And I don’t equate him to anyone experiencing this condition. I found this whole screencap weird and put in some layers of meanings qualifying it as a random shitpost.

  • I’m still puzzled by the idea of what mess this war was if at times you had someone still not clearly identifiable, but that close you can do a sheboleth check on them, and that at any moment you or the other could be shot dead.

Also, the current conflict of Russia vs Ukraine seems to invent ukrainian ‘паляница’ as a check, but as I had no connection to actual ukrainians and their UAF, I can’t say if that’s not entirely localized to the internet.

  • Remember the right claiming Floyd protesters were all looters? Itso happens whenever the nation is in distress (in this economical and societal context) the smartest of potential crimedoers would take that as an opportunity. Whenever it’s some natural disaster or social conflict, there would be some to use it. And it’s fucking frightening that America came to the point that the thing that bothers us is that thugs didn’t have a real license to do thugs’ things, and every other article going by the #ICE tag is not just stealing, but kidnapping people into Salvador camps, so getting mugged by fake ICE officer is better than meeting the real ones now? It’s a fucking circus.
