My depression goes away in the Winter. Come summer I get seasonal agression and hide in the basement.

Kermit or nothing

The blackberries are ripening. I walked a friend’s farm and picked a couple pints.

The locusts are out and singing of an evening.

The corn sweat has kicked in, it’s muggy and smells like corn outside.

Life’s not bad when you ignore the stuff they want you to focus on.

I keep vaguely informed. But watching it 24/7 is unhealthy.

Know what’s going on, but don’t obsess over it. Because, as you rightly state, there’s nothing you can do about it anyway. Why get upset over stuff you can’t control?
