piefood@feddit.onlineto Autism@lemmy.world•Do all of us neurodiverse folks have sleep issues?English1·4 hours agoI didn’t get it online, so I can’t really link it. I had it done at a local dentist, who molded it for me.
FWIW, my dentist did tell me that most local dentists could make them, but it’s gotta be from a mold for your mouth.

piefood@feddit.onlineto Autism@lemmy.world•Do all of us neurodiverse folks have sleep issues?English4·14 hours agoFWIW, after I got diagnosed with light apnea, I got a sleep mouthguard, similar to one of these:
I hated the CPAP. The mouthguards don’t work for everyone, but they helped me a bunch, and I can wear them more consistantly than the CPAP.

I mean… we are talking about the Democrats. That’s almost their motto.
I like supporting my creators. I don’t pirate music, because Bandcamp is a thing, and I don’t pirate video games because GoG is a thing. I also subscribe to Patreon and the like.
What I don’t like is giving my money to shitty companies that try to tell me how I am allowed to manage/retain/consume that media.
Some people have bad vision. Some people have a hard time seeing things like weird perspectives. There’s all kinds of reasons why someone wouldn’t be able to tell what is happening in the picture. There’s no need to call people dumb.
“I don’t think we should bomb children”, “I think medial-debt shouldn’t be the largest cause of bankruptcy in our country”, “People should be able to oppose genocide”, “cops shouldn’t be able to assault innocent people without consequence”
“expect perfect”
I think your definition of “perfect” might be a little off, as I think those are all fairly reasonable to ask of a candidate.
Yes, Harris would have been better than Trump, but that is a pretty low bar. She spent her time trying to get as close to that bar as she thought she could get away with.

Really? I see links all over the place
I actually love email. While yes, this post is accurate, email is the most filterable communication system that I have. Since I have my own email-server, and I know how procmail rules work, I can tightly control who is allowed to contact me, and what folders their messages go into. It also has great crowd-sourcing of known spammers, that I can pull from to help me filter out spammy IP addresses.
Every other message system only has a “report spam” button, that is dependent on the service admins, and doesn’t actually stop people from sending me annoying junk-mail.
In the Bobiverse books, a guy uploads his brain into a computer. He then spends years flying accross space, because it takes years to get anywhere. I’ve often dreamed of having a few decades just to work on my fun personal projects, uninterrupted.
