I use dd regularly to back up and restore disk images. It’s not particularly hard to use but like sudo rm -rf it absolutely will eat whatever you point it at so you need to understand what the command does and pay attention.

I propose the process be similar to a driving license. Several weeks of classroom urinal use education plus simulator time followed by 10h or so of practical urinal use accompanied by an accredited urinal use instructor, and finally six months or 100h of urinal use accompanied by a licensed urinal user over the age of 18. Then you can take your urinal use written exam and practical test for your license.
