37·7 days agoFarmer’s market tomatoes. I went through my whole life thinking I hated tomatoes. Turns out, I hate grainy tomatoes that taste like nothing, and real tomatoes grown nearby and picked ripe are wonderful.
Costco sells real Canadian maple syrup at a fair price (cost plus a few percent).
10·8 days agoI would so much rather buy games from GOG but their Linux integration is just so much worse than Steam Big Picture, and I only play games using Linux from a couch with a controller.
Yes, it works, and I can and have done it for some titles, but it’s nowhere near ideal.

12·9 days agoNo, you still need a phone number to sign up. You can now optionally have a username as well, but a phone number remains a hard requirement.
10·14 days agoI just want to ride a bike without constant fear of death. LA is statistically one of the most dangerous cities to ride a bike. I don’t care if it’s far—10 miles of sunshine and exercise and not dealing with bumper to bumper traffic sounds great to me, if I’m likely to arrive with my skull still in tact.
Baseball is called the “national pasttime,” but I don’t think it’s the most popular sport.

Same vibe as Musk’s “controversial gesture” where everyone was saying it was just an unfortunate accident. When Musk could have easily said, “I despise Nazis and everything they’ve done” afterwards, and didn’t.

0·1 year agoFor me it can replace DMs everywhere. Put your username in your profile and get actually secure DMs.
In Japan, in order to register your car you need to prove you have a sufficient parking spot for it (they literally send an inspector to measure the space), or you can drive a tiny Kei car. Maybe we could learn a thing from Japan here.
