That’s a nice looking house. I hope that it doesn’t get torn down. We can build density, and keep cool old houses like this. It’s not one or the other.
We’ll post a new office address each morning at 8 a.m., if you’re not in by 9 a.m. you’re fired. Good luck, and god speed.
Why is it legal to use?
“beryllium is safely used commercially in numerous products”…why is this legal. Did nobody think about fires?
“…total goods consumed has to e down at this point”, is the problem. People just do less; it’s also vicious circle. Once housing and food are paid, very little is left. Manufacturing slides, and everyone wants to be a landlord. Increasing the cost of housing. With people buying fewer things, their is less choice. A couple of big monopolies take over the few remaining industries, and over even less choice, as they make cuts. Without disposable time/income, people join fewer clubs, and have fewer hobbies. Wood working, pottery, all cost a fortune.
Didn’t the math world just give up on journals, and move to open publishing, since the journal system wasn’t working
Good, these are the real taxes to cut. Instead of the ones on private airplanes.
Inspections were cancelled because it was shown that they actually led to more accidents. A small percentage of the time mechanics didn’t tighten bolts, back on correctly, after removing a wheel to inspect brake pads. The vast majority of accidents are caused by speeding, not because a wheel brakes free and the car swerved.
It’s about how successful your parents were.
If your dad is a mechanic, has his own shop, then you might want to consider some form of trade school that also teaches the business side of running a shop. Or becoming a machinist to complement his skills, and still make use of his tools and floor space.
If you’re going to be a plumber but end up working for a large corporation, because you don’t have capital to start your own business, things will be tougher. You’ll hours might be bad, the pension they offer might not be good.
Everyone’s situation is different, and the future will be different from now.
Definitely need some speed bumps on that stretch of road, all along Parkside. I really don’t understand why some have already not been installed.
Ironically, people that are severely physically disabled are the ones that won’t be owning cars so a good wheel-chair accessible city with reliable public transit is needed most for them.
400 million =400 single family, 4 bedroom, homes. That’s a roof for 1600 people.
Probably 3200 people could be housed, if the province decided to get into the condo building game.
Instead we are building a parking garage on a lake, on the most expense land in N. America, beside a GO and subway station, for a private company that has an insane business plan of creating a luxury spa and its crack-pipe dream of 4,000,000 ultra-wealthy visitors a year.
Madness
Such a dumb and badly run country.
Every TTC subway stop should have a post office in it. The TTC should be run 24hrs a day. You should be able to pick up your package at the post office within the TTC subway stop easily.
Post offices within the GTHA really should be walking distance for most people. Go pick your package up somewhere close by, open 24hrs.
Putting post offices in Shoppers Drug Mart isn’t too bad, but it would be better if they where in 24hr donought shops.
We need to use community postal boxes more.
We need traffic cameras to automatically ticket couriers that block traffic.
We need to get ride of this ‘independent contractor’ nonsense. It’s a scam.
But for this to happen the Fed/Prov/City and Crown Corps all need to work together…so it’ll never happen.
Turn them in community centers.
Rework how how education is done, by mixing programming you’d find in a community center and a regular school.
People complain that education is not currently working, here is your chance to re-envision it. Build large spaces with welding/3dpriners/car repair. Have mixed classes not based on age, with adults and teens.
Musk bought Twitter for $50B, in comparison the price tag for repairing any of these schools seems like half a peanut in cost. There is money.
It’s one economic unit.
The rest of the world sees the USA, Mexico and Canada as basically one country, and laugh at this.
England had Brexit, USA had Trump, we’ll open constitutional talks and start tearing the country apart. The era of shooting yourself in the foot.
