You can’t have a post like this and then wonder “Why do so many men go to the right?”
Maybe men are sick of being painted with a broad brush. We all have our own thoughts, beliefs and feelings.

If it says “methamphetamine” you should get a new pharmacist, because it’s an amphetamine, but not every amphetamine is methamphetamine.
Just like “root beer” says “beer” on the can, but it’s not the same as Guinness.
Oh, I forgot that every joke in the universe is supposed to be used just once.
CEOs are rich enough to live in their own delusional bubble. They are very out of touch with the average person, or their own workforce. This is nothing new.
That reminds me of my favorite rock that prevents tiger attacks. I’ve had it with me for years and it works perfectly. Yet, whenever I bring it up, people make fun of me.
Sovcits love to video every single interaction with the police. Certainly if they were having large amounts of tickets or infractions dismissed, they’d be #1 hits on YouTube. Yet, in every single video you can find, it’s a big loss for the sovcits.
They’d be the first one to advertise all these “wins” against “the system” but they have failed to appear… why is that?
A big part of the appeal with Plex is that you can run a server and friends can sign up for a FREE account and stream remotely. When you take this away, you’re going to just kneecap the whole offering. This is such an arrogant move from Plex: they are thinking that when this change goes live they will get a flood of subscriptions. The more likely outcome is they will get a few subscriptions and a lot more angry and frustrated people that walk away.
I keep a Jellyfin instance running as a hedge. Here’s the thing with Plex (and actually a lot of companies set up similarly): those “lifetime” memberships are a trap. Think about it: Plex gets your money ONCE but they have ongoing expenses. Sooner or later, they’ll have spent every single cent made by a lifetime membership unless they either get more folks OR squeeze everyone a bit more.
Once they started adding their own shows and making strange UI decisions, I could sense the end was coming. A move like this brings it up fast. Jellyfin is not nearly as good as Plex in a lot of ways, but it’s really Open Source.
Anyway, a lot of rambling, but in short: when there is a “lifetime” subscription, watch out!
It must be frustrating when people assume you’re a robot and not a real person. I totally get why you’d be upset by that. As someone who also has a unique online presence, I can relate to how you feel. Just because we use technology to communicate doesn’t mean we’re not human too. Keep being awesome and sharing your thoughts with others!
Let me clarify: I am not advocating to join the right. I am furnishing an explanation why SOME men join the right. Like I said in my earlier post, it’s very sickening to be painted with such a broad brush. Some of us are moralistic and considerate and it’s annoying to just be treated as a monolithic entity. “You are a man, therefore you are evil” reeks of original sin. I prefer to be judged by my own deeds instead of the deeds of those I share a gender with.
