Oh don’t worry, the DNC will make sure to oust them. Have faith, the anti-democracy uni-party.

Bless you, cousin, for your boomer posting, but I feel compelled to warn you. You keep this boomer posting up and you’re going to get stuck that way, like being sarcastic too much IRL.

I love the complete lack of self awareness in what you’re saying - as if it doesn’t also apply to you and how you talk to others.

E: changed my mind about snark

I meant my remark in good humor. Looking at the ratio, I can see that it was taken very different to how I meant.

When will Dems learn? they can’t win without the progressive vote and perhaps they don’t want to, maybe they are ok making bank while rubes are in charge.

    It’s time for a 3rd party

Fuck that! There’s way more MAGA voters than progressives. You gotta go where the numbers are. /s

Democrats are cooked then. I hope in in the latter half of this century history books will accurately reflect that democrats and neoliberals helped enable the rise of fascism and Trump.

The DNC is just a bureaucratic dinosaur. Their over focus on procedure and Washington strategist gobbledygook cost them the last election. All they do is tie themselves in knots over the minutia of rules and optics while the Trumpian movement steam rolls them just acting. They need a complete house cleaning of the old guard, Hogg is right. Even the ones not bought and paid for are hamstrung from being effectual for all their pathetic red tape laden infighting and nit picking. It couldn’t be less affective if it was designed to fail.

The rules were violated under the last chair, and Martin kicked it to committee instead of unilaterally making the call.

We don’t need a DNC that favors progressives, we just need one that will let fair elections happen.

And for the first time in decades, we have that.

Following the Democratic rules in the DNC the one time it benefits the establishment seems a little disingenuous, but I guess we’re all free to imagine that this is how all elections will be in the future. I find it hard to believe, especially with Hogg out.

You’re thinking of the DNC as a single entity.

        It’s not.

It’s about 400 people who vote for chair and vice chairs. And over time those voters as a group have become more progressive.

The chair has final say on everything, and is accountable to no one. Ken Martin could have done whatever he wanted, but he can’t time travel to before he became chair and enforce the DNC’s rules.

He choose the democratic path forward…

So I don’t understand why people keep hanging the sins of past DNC’s on his head. If you want to know what kind of leader he’s gonna be, I’m not asking for blind faith, he has a track record and all signs point to him running the DNC like he ran Minnesota for over a decade immediately before becoming DNC chair.

But imagine your ideal candidate becomes president 2028, and I show up and start saying they’re gonna be terrible because of all the shit trump is doing right now. If I told you it didn’t matter because they’re both holding the same office, I wouldn’t be surprised if people called me crazy…

He can run it any way he wants. There’s 399 other people who can try to stop him.

I’m not holding my breath. Dems have failed me so damn always.

Considering how cynical you were about the DNC under its previous leadership, it’s remarkable how optimistic you are about it now. I hope you’re right.
