Lemmy allows you to block comms and users pretty easily.
I have over 200 blocked. Not in an “I hate you” way, more in a “This doesn’t interest me” way.
Best solution is to read books instead of social media.
Tiktok is the same. Where you can block people and even tags in the videos.
Rather than browsing by all you can also subscribe to communities that interest you and browse by subscribed.
This is what I do. When the current news cycle is too much for me, I just browse my front page for a few days and avoid the news.
I do the reverse, browse subs most of the time and switch to all if I’m looking for news or new communities to subscribe too.
Same use case, different ratios!
Without memes? 😭
English media will always be dominated with us politics. As for memes well, welcome to the internet. The best way to avoid memes is to avoid the internet

Use the subscribed feed.
If you want extra filter options, Piefed has built in keywords filter
You just described my PieFed/Lemmy subscribed community list.
As others have said, the best way to do this is to use a platform that has good block list features (most Fediverse platforms qualify), and then curate your block list. You can block users, communities, and instances you don’t wish to see here on Lemmy. Mastodon might be for you, because you can also block keywords (Mastodon and Lemmy will happily talk to each other, so you can subscribe to Lemmy communities from a normal Mastodon account and post simply by mentioning the community, or comment by replying to an existing post).
IIRC piefed also supports keyword blocking.
In that case i would recommend you block !politics@lemmy.world and !politicalmemes@lemmy.world and !news!world@lemmy.world
No. Next question.
Tildes seems to do mostly okay.
probably some nsfw platform
LinkedIn
That is social media. Try downloading a news app instead. I’m considering the same
Like, none of those at all? Seems highly unlikely.
There is not such a safe place. All you can do is blocking communities or users who annoys you.
