Spam calls are, by and large, automated. When the number does not answer several times in a row, the number is often auto deleted from the list so as to get more scams done.
When you answer, it confirms for the automated program making the calls that your number is still in service and is answered.
Just accept that sometimes people have ideas that are different from yours that hold value? It doesn’t add value to the discussion to just give anecdotal evidence while you refuse other people’s ideas.

Odd. My wife and daughter never answer them and they get them every day. I get one maybe every couple weeks.
